Privacy policy

This policy covers the Betaroo website. We collect as little as we can, we do not sell personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers. The Betaroo app will have its own privacy policy when it launches.

What we collect

• Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist we store the email address you give us, along with when and where on the site you signed up.
• Site analytics. We measure page views with our own first-party analytics: the pages you visit, time spent, your browser timezone (as a rough region, never a precise location), screen size, and a random anonymous browser identifier. We do not store IP addresses with analytics data and we do not track you across other sites.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or email support@betaroo.io, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.

Cookies

The public site sets no tracking cookies. The only cookie we use is a sign-in session for Betaroo staff accessing the internal dashboard.

How we use it

Waitlist emails are used to tell you about Betaroo's launch and early access. Analytics are used to understand what on the site is useful. We do not sell or rent personal information. Data is processed by the infrastructure providers that host this site, and by an email delivery provider when we write to you.

Retention and your choices

We keep waitlist details until launch communications finish or you ask to be removed, whichever comes first. You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email support@betaroo.io and we will sort it out. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
